Custard Flavors Widget
Offered for your gastronomic delight…
Wouldn’t it be great to have an OS X Dashboard widget that provided information about something relevant to the Milwaukee-Waukesha area?
Look no further… YourMacDoc has programmed a widget designed for fun as well as function! The Custard Flavors widget provides the frozen custard “Flavors of the Day” from one of our area’s delightful dessert pleasure palaces: Kopp’s Frozen Custard™.
In its minimized state, the Custard Flavors widget shows the date and the two current “Flavors of the Day.” With a click on its front side, the widget stretches to also reveal the delectable descriptions of the day’s flavors.
Custard Flavors auto-updates its information, so you’ll never be out of sync with the currently featured frozen custard flavors. (However, beware that this widget just might put you out of sync with your diet!)
Download the Custard Flavors widget. Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger or later is required. If you’re using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you’re using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. Show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.
Alternative installation directions: Download the Custard Flavors widget. If the widget install process does not begin automatically, find and double-click on the downloaded “Custard_Flavors_1.0.3.zip” file to unarchive (decompress) it. Then double-click on the Custard Flavors widget to install it into your home Library’s “Widgets” folder. Enjoy!
